Is Marijuana Really That Bad for Me?

We here at Lonestar Victory Ranch want to share with you that there are 400 chemicals in marijuana smoke, 60 of which are known to cause cancer. So the answer to the question, “Is marijuana really that bad for me?” is yes, marijuana is really bad for you. When you smoke pot the chemicals can remain in your body for months or even years after depending on how much and how often you light up. Additionally, the active chemical in marijuana, THC is a “neurotoxin” meaning that it is poisonous and causes nerve damage.

So what really happens when you smoke a joint? Well, two specific things take place:

1)      You almost immediately burn up a great deal of necessary vitamins and minerals in your body.

2)      Your nervous system changes and the nerves in your body go numb.

Each time you consecutively smoke marijuana to get “high” you will find that you just aren’t able to get that feeling you did before and each time you comedown you feel a little worse. This is because as you are using the drug you are burning up those necessary vitamins and without them your body doesn’t function as it once did. With repeated use you may find that you don’t just want to smoke pot, you feel you NEED to smoke it to get rid of the discomfort and pain brought on by your vitamin deficiencies.
