Withdrawal has been a huge first step in finding sobriety

I have been drinking for over ten years and it has completely affected my life in a negative way. For a while now I wanted help, but did not know what to do. My parents got me into this program and I feel that withdrawal has been a huge first step in finding sobriety. I look forward to seeing what I am capable of as a sober adult.

  1. I agree that withdrawal was a huge step in finding sobriety for me too. I also used to be scared at the thought of withdrawal when I was using. Before coming here the only times I went through withdrawal were when I was in jail and I found it somewhat easier because of the fact that I could just sleep as much as I wanted and also because I knew that I would be right back to getting high again after I got out of jail.

  2. The thought of withdrawal use to terrify me when I was an addict. I did not want to go through the pain, discomfort and insomnia that came along with the withdrawal process. At the same time I knew I needed to stop using drugs or it was going to kill me. Luckily I was went to the Rainbow Canyon Retreat and their Withdrawal program is fantastic. I had 24/7 support and some to work with me to help me through the process. Withdrawal is never pleasant but Rainbow Canyon Retreat made it bearable. They were very knowledgeable and professional. They were with me every step of the way.
