Go at Your Own Pace

As with most things in life, a person progress at their own pace and can only take in so much new information at a time before becoming overwhelmed. While some people have a higher threshold for learning new things, others need more time, personal attention and perhaps even different learning styles to fully comprehend the information they are asked to learn. For these reasons and many more, it is vital that drug rehab programs are not created as a one size fits all.

Narconon Fresh Start understands how different each addicted individual’s recovery process is going to be; this is why their programs do not have a set timeframe for completion. They operate under the idea that true rehabilitation from addiction takes as long as it takes and is not a process that can be rushed. While most program participants complete the Narconon Fresh Start program in 90 days (give or take), there are some who need to remain in treatment longer. Before each program participant is approved to graduate from the program they work closely with their case supervisor to demonstrate that they fully learned all the necessary life skills and are able to apply these new skills to themselves, their life and their future once they complete treatment and return home.

“Other drug rehab programs that I’ve been through always had a set period of time that I was supposed to complete a portion of their program in. If I didn’t, then I fell behind or was quickly rushed through it. Going to Narconon Fresh Start was a change from that way of drug rehab treatment. I was told that I had as long as I needed to fully read, comprehend and practice the new life skills I was going to need when I graduated. I never felt rushed or pressured to hurry up during my program. It took just over 3 months to complete the Sunshine Summit Lodge drug rehab program and I’m glad I took my time. During the final review of the program I was able to draw on all my time studying in the course room and I was able to thoroughly demonstrate my knowledge of the life skills I was taught. With three years of sobriety now, I’m still using those same life skills day in and day out to help me in life and maintain my sobriety.”

“The last drug rehab I was in had me doing most of my recovery on my own. It was a short-term program, and while I was able to withdraw from the drugs there, I didn’t have time to do much more than that. At Narconon Fresh Start I’ve been able to not only go through the withdrawal process, I’ve completed their New Life Detoxification Program and been able to flush all the remaining drug residuals out of my system. That part of the program has left me feeling better than ever and energized to complete the remaining parts of the program. I know that I don’t have to feel hurried to graduate and that my case supervisor is looking out for me and watching over my progress. I’m enjoying the classroom like atmosphere of the course room and find myself enjoying the time I spend learning each day. While the information is not difficult to get through, it can be a challenge to fully comprehend all the new skills and techniques they are teaching. Yet another good reason that this is a self-paced program. This drug rehab is unlike any other I’ve gone to and that is what is making it the best drug rehab program by far! I’m actually learning about addiction, about myself and addressing the issues in my life that lead me to use. No other rehab center has been this in-depth and complete in their recovery methods.”
